Rachel White

EVP and executive director Associated Press Fund for Journalism

Rachel White is EVP and Executive Director of the AP Fund for Journalism whose mission is to deepen coverage of issues of public interest, extending the reach of fact-based, nonpartisan journalism to more communities across the U.S., and providing services that strengthen the capacity of state and local outlets to produce their own journalism.

She was previously President of theguardian.org and EVP of philanthropic and strategic partnerships at the Guardian. Prior to joining the Guardian, she served as executive vice president and interim president of the Washington D.C.-based think tank New America Foundation. Working across media, policy, government and philanthropy, she led the organization in advancing new thinkers and new ideas to address the next generation of challenges facing the United States. From 1995 to 2005, Rachel worked for the World Wildlife Fund, and helped lead the organization's first fundraising campaign, the Living Planet Campaign.
