Rosy Battaglia is an investigative journalist and documentary filmmaker, as well as the founder of Cittadini Reattivi, a civic and investigative journalism platform focused on the environment, public health, and legality, established in 2013. A FOIA and open data activist, she also serves as president of the namesake association that advocates for the right to know and access information in Italy.

She is the creator of the multimedia storytelling project “Storie Resilienti,” dedicated to communities fighting for environmental and health justice. This work has yielded two documentary investigations: “La rivincita di Casale Monferrato” (Italy 2018, 30’) and “Io non faccio finta di niente” (Italy 2020, 51’), both selected by numerous national and international festivals. She is currently developing a third investigative documentary, “Taranto chiama”, which gave rise to the European inquiry “Taranto, zona di sacrificio,” produced in collaboration with the European network CORRECTIV. Europe.
