Sara Hejazi

Sara Hejazi is an anthropologist, lecturer, and researcher at the Bruno Kessler Foundation in Trento, where she focuses on the relationship between ethics, religious beliefs, and technological innovations. She has conducted research on various critical topics related to complexity, such as contemporary monasticism, Muslim communities in Italy, transformations in sexual behaviors in the face of digitization, and the issue of the veil.

She is the author of several monographic works, including "The Sense of Species: Why Planetary Culture and the Fate of Humanity" (Erickson, 2021), and hundreds of academic articles and informative reports. Her latest book, "Iran, Women, and Revolts," was published by Morcelliana in 2023. In 2019, she released "Understanding Islam: Myth or Reality?" (Scholé, 2019), and in 2008, "Unveiled Iran: Anthropology of the Intersection between Identity and Veil" (Aracne).
