Lina El Wardani is a journalist from Cairo, Egypt. She is the travel editor for Ahram Online, Egypt's national news website.
Before that she was managing editor at Al-Masry Al-Youm English website. El Wardani was also a producer and reporter with BBC Arabic service, BBC Middle East English website, Al Jazeera international TV producer.
El Wardani has written many articles on the Arab spring, which she covered extensively in Egypt and Libya. Her work was published in several local and international websites and publications including Al Ahram weekly, Al-Masry Al-Youm, BBC Arabic and English websites.
She writes about politics, covers protests and wars, yet still finds time and enjoys writing about music, film, theatre and travel. El Wardani has also produced several documentaries for Al Jazeera and the BBC.
