Laura Guercio
Laura Guercio is a lawyer at a firm in Genoa and Rome (Italy) and also has experience in other jurisdictions (such as Great Britain/Republic of Ireland). Guercio completed her doctoral studies in political science with co-supervisors at the University of Genoa and Trinity College Dublin (on the topic of 'Women's Rights in the Constitutional Reforms in the Mena Area after the Arab Spring'). She also has a masters in ‘National, European and International Jurisdictions’ from SIOI-University of Rome Tor Vergata-Universiy of Camerino. Currently she is a Professor at the University of Perugia and Secretary General of the Inter-Ministerial Committee for Human Rights at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In addition, she is an Italian representative on the Management Board of the European Fundamental Rights Agency and assistant lawyer before the International Criminal Court. Since 2010 she has been a Senior Researcher in EU and in international projects in the Mena area with the support of Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
