Yao-Hua Law is a science and environment journalist in Malaysia. He loves durians and watching insects. He co-founded Malaysian environmental journalism portal Macaranga in 2019. Yao-Hua writes for Science, The Atlantic, and SCMP, among others. His stories have won the One World Media Award for Print (2020) and the Malaysian Press Institute Award for Environmental Reporting (2021). In his two years as a Pulitzer Center’s Rainforest Investigations Network fellow, he has exposed systemic flaws and fraudulent practices that destroy Peninsular Malaysia’s forests.
