Sergio Maistrello
Sergio Maistrello is a journalist specialised in the social applications of the internet. He is visiting lecturer in new media at the University of Trieste and also on the Masters course in Media Studies at the SISSA University. In 2009 he co-founded the State of the Net association which focuses on the implications of the internet on Italian society. He is a member of the Online Journalism Association and is conducting research on fact checking and hyper-local information. He is the author of Come si fa un blog (2004), La parte abitata della Rete (2007), Giornalismo e nuovi media (2010) and Io editore tu rete (2011).
