Sarah Hartley is part of the GNI Innovation Challenges team - a Google programme of funding for innovative news projects across the globe. In her role she supports those interested in applying for funding as well as co-ordinating the progress of projects with successful recipients. Before joining Google, Sarah had a successful journalism career which included a decade at the Guardian Media Group before getting immersed in the news start-up scene and co-founding several innovative journalism projects.
