Rebecca Quarls works for the News Revenue Hub. Previously she was the membership manager for The Texas Tribune, a nonprofit, nonpartisan digital news organization that leads Texas in innovative reporting on politics, public policy and matters of statewide concern. It also engages Texans through community reporting, live events and award-winning multimedia projects. In her two years with the Tribune, Rebecca has helped the organization grow its ranks of members by more than 70% and achieve its best-ever revenue and retention rates. Her main focus is building a membership program that’s sustainable — and replicable by anyone! Helping her achieve that are current research collaborations with the Membership Puzzle Project as well as the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy based at Harvard Kennedy School.
