Murat Şevki Çoban is the deputy editor of K24, a nonprofit online literary journal, an editor of Peace Portraits, launched to commemorate the victims of the Ankara blast, and a longtime contributor to P24, Platform for Independent Journalism in Turkey. Since 2007, he has worked for several publications including Taraf Daily where he was Culture & Arts editor covering culture & arts, social rights, Internet freedom and LGBTQ rights.
