Michelle Porter is a TV and Video Producer with over 30 years’ experience in the industry. She currently works for the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) an international financial institution and a specialized agency of the United Nations dedicated to eradicating poverty and hunger in rural areas of developing countries.

She is responsible for commissioning, directing, and producing videos that show the positive impact of the work of IFAD’s investments in improving the lives of rural people. Michelle is one of the judges of the MOJO awards, specifically for the Rural Voices category, which is sponsored by IFAD.

Previously she worked for the ITV breakfast show GMTV and Good Morning Britain and produced live coverage of major news events such as the UK and US elections, terrorist incidents in London and Belgium and the Health Star and Pride of Britain awards. She was the creator of ITV’s award-winning campaign 1 Million Minutes, now in its 8th year, encouraging viewers to pledge time to support people who are lonely.
