Aphrodite Salas

Aphrodite Salas is a journalist and professor at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. She specializes in mobile journalism and constructive climate reporting with Indigenous partners. Her research focuses on transforming journalism practices to be more collaborative and less extractive, with an emphasis on decolonization. Aphrodite is also on the management team of Voltage, a 123-million-dollar research program at Concordia on the electrification of society. A journalist with decades of experience, she worked at CTV, Canada’s largest privately owned network, as a national correspondent, anchor and mobile journalist. Aphrodite’s work centres on building trust, accountability, and inclusivity in journalism.
