Marialaura Scatena
Marialaura Scatena, known as Lalla, is a feminist sports journalist. She was born in Abruzzo, but currently resides in Turin.
With a degree in philosophy, she first graduated from the University of L'Aquila and later from Sapienza University in Rome. She focuses on women's sports, particularly football, and women in sports. She collaborates with Sportellate.it and Cerëtta, where she has also co-created the podcast Mondialcasa.
From 2020 to 2023, she was the writer and voice of L Football, the first magazine dedicated to women's football in Italy. She took the stage at TEDx Novara Women 2023 with a talk titled Why talk about football if you're a girl?. Following the women's World Cup in the summer of 2023, she is currently covering the Hermoso-Rubiales case.
She is currently a student in the Giorgio Bocca Journalism Master's program in Turin.
