Dr. Mackenzie Price is the Director of Anti Bias Initiatives at Dotdash Meredith, where she works across Content Integrity and Content Operations and Standards. Dr. Price first joined Dotdash Meredith in 2020 as an Editorial Advisor for Diversity and Inclusion. In that role, she established Dotdash Meredith’s first ever Anti-Bias Review Board, a panel of subject matter experts on public health, finance, food, accessibility, race, gender, history, and more. The review board works with editors and contributors across Dotdash Meredith’s more than 50 brands to audit content and advise on content quality as well as representation. As the Director of Anti Bias Initiatives, Dr Price continues to lead the review board and directly advise the brand teams on creating inclusive content. She also partners with Content Integrity to develop internal standards for bias-free, trustworthy, expert content. Dr Price is a sociolinguist, or a social scientist focused on language and communication. Before joining Dotdash Meredith she advised leading foundations, public sector, and private businesses on brand language and naming strategies. She is based in Washington, DC.
