
IOSONOUNCANE, a Sardinian musician born in 1983, began his career in Bologna, where he moved in the early 2000s. Following his debut with La Macarena Su Roma (2010), which blends lo-fi electronics and singer-songwriter influences, he rose to prominence with DIE (2015), a record that established him as one of the most influential names in the Italian music scene, supported by numerous national and international tours.
In 2021, he released IRA, an ambitious triple album that became the most talked-about record of the year, leading to theatrical, summer, and European tours. Alongside his solo work, IOSONOUNCANE collaborates with artists like Paolo Angeli and produces acclaimed records, including Colapesce's Infedele and Daniela Pes's SPIRA.
Among his recent works are soundtracks for documentaries and films, including Berlinguer. La Grande Ambizione by Andrea Segre, presented at the 2024 Rome Film Fest, showcasing a career that continues to evolve between music and experimentation.
IOSONOUNCANE composed the original score for the documentary Lirica Ucraina by journalist Francesca Mannocchi, presented at the 19th edition of the Rome Film Fest 2024.
