Born in Rome in 1958, a professional journalist embarked on her journey in the world of information at the age of 20 with a Rai scholarship for the initiation into journalistic career. She worked for four years at the Parliamentary Information Office, and in 1987, she joined Tg3. In the same year, she contributed to the first edition of Samarcanda.
In 1989, she became an editor in the Internal Affairs department of the third network's news program. In 1991, she was assigned the role of Political-Parliamentary Informant, and in 1993, she earned the qualification of correspondent. She covered the activities of the President of the Republic as a journalist specializing in presidential matters. She remained with Tg3 until 2004, also serving as a presenter, first for the 10:30 PM Rome-New York edition and later for the 7:00 PM edition, contributing to the production and hosting of Primo Piano, an in-depth section of the news program.
In June 1997, while retaining the duties of head of service, she took on the role of Deputy Editor.
Since 2004, she has been assigned to Rai3 for hosting and producing the program Chi l'ha visto?.
In January 2012, she was promoted to Editor-in-Chief.
Since May 2022, she has continued the same activities within the In-Depth Department.
She is the author of books on some of the main criminal cases in Italy: Tre Bravi Ragazzi, based on the proceedings of the Circeo massacre trial (Rizzoli, 2006), Con il sangue agli occhi. Un boss della Banda della Magliana si racconta, written with Antonio Mancini (Rizzoli, 2007), Un mostro innocente, about the story of Gino Girolimoni, written in collaboration with Emanuele Agostini, Trappole d'amore (RaiLibri, 2020), and Il caso Potenzoni (Einaudi, 2021).
She has been awarded the title of Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
