Eduard Martín-Borregón is a journalist with long experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams that combine technology development, data analysis and research and journalistic narratives. He is currently Chief Operating Officer at Datasketch, a company dedicated to the promotion of data science in Latin America, and Lecturer at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico.
Previously he led the Journalism, Data and Technology team at PODER, founded and directed Data'n'Press and has published his work in media such as The Washington Post, El Mundo, El Pais, eldiario.es, El Periodico de Catalunya, Vilaweb, among others. Among the projects he has led are Mexicoleaks, Frida Award 2016 and nominated for the Garcia Marquez Innovation Award 2016, TodosLosContrados.mx, winner of the Sigma Award 2020 and nominated for the Garcia Marquez Innovation Award 2020, and La Mafia de la Ciencia, Honorable Mention in the Latin American Award for Investigative Journalism COLPIN 2020.
Eduard holds a degree in Journalism from Blanquerna - Universitat Ramon Llull with studies in Economics, a Master in Business and Institutional Communication Management from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona and a Master in Investigative Journalism, Data and Visualization from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos with a Google Excellence Scholarship.
