Antonello Giacomelli is Under-Secretary at the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, with responsibility for communications. A journalist, he began his career in TeleItalia before moving to the Cecchi Gori Group, for which he was director of Channel 10. He was chairman of the Metastasio Theater, and deputy mayor of Prato (1999-2004). He was elected for the first time to the Italian Chamber of Deputies in 2004.
