Amanda Barrett is Vice President for News, Standards and Inclusion at The Associated Press, having previously been Head of News Audience. In addition to standards and inclusion, Amanda oversees the Nerve Center, which takes in the global news coordination hub, talent development and news verification. In 2020, Amanda set up an Inclusive Storytelling effort to broaden the global news agenda by bringing in more diverse audiences and views and has built powerful partnerships beyond.
Amanda got her start in journalism as a teenager when she attended a Minority Journalism Program at The Roanoke (Virginia) Times.
