Alessandra Morelli has been a delegate of the UNHCR since 1992. Her professional experience has been principally in conflict and emergency zones. Operating in these environments she has worked closely with a wide range of UN, NATO and in particular IGO and NGO partners. She has been involved over many years in negotiating, planning and coordinating protection/assistance to IDPs, refugees and returnees with senior government authorities, DPKOs, international and local military forces, UN agencies and NGOs. Recent missions include Sri Lanka, Georgia, Yemen, Afghanistan, Somalia and in particular Greece.
