Aleksej Tilman, born in Milan, currently lives in Vienna after having lived in Astana, Brussels, and Tbilisi, working for the OSCE and the European Parliament. He spent two years in the capital of Georgia, specializing in the political and social dynamics of the Caucasus region at Ivane Javakhishvili University.
In addition to writing for Meridiano 13, he has contributed to and continues to write about the region for Valigia Blu, New Eastern Europe, East Journal, and other publications.
