Susan Newhook teaches video, mobile and television reporting at the University of King’s College School of Journalism in Halifax, Canada. Sue worked for many years as a news and current affairs journalist at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. She has also freelanced for domestic and international media outlets on all platforms. As a university teacher she has moved almost all the hands-on work in her introductory reporting courses to mobile-only. She also teaches a mobile journalism course at the graduate level; in this course, students study their own mobile consumption and production practices as a way to understand how we all relate to our phones.
