Susan Comrie

amaBhungane Centre for Investigative Journalism

Susan Comrie has spent the past 15 years working as an investigative journalist, first with the TV show Carte Blanche and then weekly newspaper City Press, before jumping at the chance to join the amaBhungane Centre for Investigative Journalism in 2016. Her investigations have covered state capture, corruption, mining, energy and the environment. Susan was part of the team that exposed the #GuptaLeaks – her focus was the state-owned power utility Eskom, US consulting firm McKinsey, and global software giant SAP. She recently co-produced amaBhungane’s first documentary about the failures of the National Prosecuting Authority. She currently lives in Cape Town, South Africa.
