Shweta Bhandary leads Google News Initiative’s Digital Growth Programme in Europe, the Middle East and Africa - a training programme for news publishers in the region. As part of her role at Google, she works with partners like the Financial Times and news associations like WAN-IFRA to build bespoke programmes for publishers at various stages of digital maturity to help them through their digital transformation journey.
Prior to Google, Shweta worked as a Management Consultant at Deloitte US and UK across multiple global financial services and public sector technology-implementation projects. Shweta is based in London, and holds a Masters in International Strategy and Diplomacy from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelors in Computer Science Engineering.
