
Samuel Munia is an award-winning investigative journalist, filmmaker, and media trainer with 17 years of experience producing high-impact television content in Kenya. His work uncovers corruption, human rights violations, and environmental injustices, using powerful storytelling to drive accountability and social change.
As the Head of the Investigative Desk at Africa Uncensored, Samuel specializes in documentaries that amplify marginalized voices and expose systemic injustices. His work seamlessly blends investigative depth with cinematic storytelling, making complex issues both accessible and compelling.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Journalism from Moi University and a Diploma in Film and Video Production from the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication. Currently, he is pursuing a Master of Science in Communication Studies at Moi University.
Beyond his reporting, Samuel is dedicated to training the next generation of journalists and filmmakers. He leads workshops on investigative storytelling, cinematography, covert filming, production management, safety in hostile environments, mobile journalism, and solutions journalism, equipping young storytellers with the skills to thrive in an evolving media landscape.
