Saja Mortada, a Lebanese investigative and data journalist, is the manager of Arab Fact-Checkers Network led by ARIJ. She holds a master’s degree in Media from Antonine University in Lebanon and from the University of Toulon in France. She has carried out investigative reports on human rights issues in her country Lebanon, and investigations in the context of the FinCEN Files and Pandora Papers with ICIJ in 2020 and 2021. She previously worked as an editor and presenter at Al Mayadeen TV, Raseef22 and Assafir newspaper. In recent years, she has developed her skills in data journalism, mobile journalism, digital storytelling and fact-checking.
