
As Amazon’s Senior Vice President, Kindle Content, Russ Grandinetti manages Kindle’s business selling books, newspapers, and magazines to Kindle customers around the world. He also oversees Amazon Publishing as well as Kindle Direct Publishing, Kindle’s self-publishing service. Prior to joining Kindle in October 2009, he managed Amazon’s print book business in North America.
Since joining Amazon in 1998, Grandinetti has served in a number of positions in Amazon’s retail and finance functions including Vice President of Softlines (including Apparel, Shoes, Watches, Jewelry and Sporting Goods), and as Treasurer of the company.
Prior to joining Amazon.com, Grandinetti was a securities analyst for Morgan Stanley in New York City where he covered a number of emerging companies in the Internet sector, including Netscape, CNET and Amazon.com. Before joining Morgan Stanley, Grandinetti worked as a systems designer and engineer at Andersen Consulting.
Grandinetti is a graduate of Princeton University, and holds a B.S.E. in Operations Research.
