Prune Antoine is an award-winning independent reporter, writer and editor. Born in France, bred in Europe, she is currently based in Berlin. She writes about women, post-conflict societies and rise of extremisms. Her favourite playground is (enlarged) Europe and the post-Sovietic world. Her stories published in Médiapart, l'Obs or M were awarded the Prix Louise Weiss or the Prix Philippe Chaffanjon. Author for Arte or France Télévisions, she regularly escapes into literature: her first novel L'heure d’été (2019) was selected for the Goncourt du premier roman. Prune is also the co-founder and editor-in-chief of Sisters of Europe, a platform documenting women’s condition in the post #MeToo era: a serie of interviews with 27 women in 27 countries and a cycle of debates in European capitals. Both archive and non-profit, the initiative was laureate of the 2021 Innovation Award of the European Press Prize.
