Deputy procurator of the Republic in Caltanissetta and then in Palermo, Nino Di Matteo is now deputy prosecutor in the Italian National Anti-Mafia and Counter-Terrorism Directorate. He investigated the massacres of the magistrates Chinnici, Falcone, Borsellino and their bodyguards, and the murder of Judge Saetta. Several municipal administrations (including Rome, Milan, Turin, Bologna, Genova) have given him an honorary citizenship for his commitment to the search for truth. He is the author of Assedio alla toga (with Loris Mazzetti, Aliberti), Collusi (with Salvo Palazzolo, Rizzoli) and Il patto sporco. Il processo Stato-mafia nel racconto di un suo protagonista (with Saverio Lodato, Chiarelettere, 2018).
