Nicola Borzi is an investigative financial journalist for the leading Italian business daily Il Sole 24 Ore, writer and columnist. Over 25 years he has written about food biotechnologies, bioterrorism, economics, finance, intelligence, money laundering schemes in Italy, United Kingdom, Estonia, Russia, Panama, Malta, Switzerland, Dominican Republic, Bahamas and Dubai. At the end of 6-year undercover inquiry into the public company he works for, in October 2016 he made public his internal investigation which in March 2017 led to criminal probes – still ongoing – for the former top management and editor-in-chief of Il Sole 24 Ore. In the same month he was awarded the Targa Federico Caffé for his journalistic and whistle-blowing report. He is a writer, coordinator and translator of 20 books, including Invisible killers: bioterrorism, new threats and defenses (Il Sole 24 Ore, 2001), The Enron parable (Feltrinelli, 2002) and The big crisis (Il Sole 24 Ore, 2008).
