Miguel Angel Medina

Journalist from El Pais. He writes about the environment, climate activism, mobility – he is passionate about cycling – consumption, and urban planning.

Graduated in 2005 in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid, he obtained a postgraduate diploma as an expert in Islamic Culture and Religion from the Camilo José Cela University and studied Philosophy for three years at the Complutense. After an internship at Cadena SER and Radio Marca, and before starting his work at El Pais in 2007, he worked at Madridiario.

He is the author of the book "Madrid, Questions and Answers. 75 Stories to Discover the Capital" (La Librería) and has received the international award "Pobre el que no cambia de mirada" for his report "Hatred towards the poor emerges from the darkness," as well as the award from the Spanish Sustainable Mobility Week by the Ministry of Ecological Transition for his report "Bike lanes: cities' response to the pandemic."
