Michele Serra writes the L’amaca column for the Italian daily La Repubblica and the Satira preventiva column for the Italian weekly L'Espresso. He is author of the novel Il ragazzo mucca, two collections of short stories (Il nuovo che avanza and Cerimonie) two books of poetry (Poesie per incartare l’insalata and Canzoni politiche), three collections of journalistic writings (Tutti al mare, Che tempo fa and Tutti i santi giorni) and an opera libretto entitled La madre del mostro.
