Melita Cavallo is a judge who has specialised in cases related to children. She was President of the Children’s Court in Rome until December 2015 and in her career she has been President of the Commission for International Adoptions, President of the Italian Association of Magistrates for Children and Families, President of GEMME Italy (Groupement Européen des Magistrats pour la Médiation). She was awarded the Prix Femmes d’Europe (1995) by the European Parliament and the Légion d’Honneur (2012) by the President of the French Republic. Her latest book is Si fa presto a dire famiglia (Laterza, 2016).
