Mario Monti
Mario Monti served as the Prime Minister of Italy from November 2011 to April 2013. He is Senator for Life in the Italian Senate, President of the Bocconi University in Milan and the leader of the political party Scelta Civica.
He was European Commissioner for the Internal Market, Financial Services and Financial Integration Customs and Taxation from 1995 to 1999 and European Commissioner for Competition from 1999 to 2004.
He is the author of Le parole e i fatti (Rizzoli, 2012) and co-author with Sylvie Foulard of La democrazia in Europa (Rizzoli, 2013).
