Marco Tullio Giordana, film director and screenwriter, has directed the films La caduta degli angeli ribelli (1981), Appuntamento a Liverpool (1988), Pasolini, un delitto italiano (1995), I cento passi (2000), La meglio gioventù (2003), Quando sei nato non puoi più nasconderti (2005), Romanzo di una strage (2012) and Nome di donna (2018). He started in cinema as a screenwriter, with the documentary Forza Italia! by Roberto Faenza (1977). With his directorial debut, Maledetti vi amerò (1980), he won the Pardo d'Oro at the Locarno Film Festival. During his career, the awards received include the Un Certain Regard Award at the Cannes Film Festival (2003), an award at the Venice Film Festival for the screenplay for I cento passi (2000), two Silver Ribbons (2001 and 2004) and three David di Donatellos.
