Luca Barberini holds a degree in Economics and has worked as an accountant and statutory auditor. Engaged in various youth and voluntary associations, for several years he was an educator in the Argesci, with various positions at the regional and national level and participation in humanitarian initiatives abroad. From 2010 to 2015 he was regional councilor of the Umbria Region and since 2015 he has been head of the regional department of Health, Social Cohesion and Welfare. During the course of his mandate, he has beenstrongly committed to spread the culture of mandatory vaccinations as a form of health prevention and in the fight against fake news in this area and in health in general.
