Loris De Filippi is president of Medici Senza Frontiere Italy. Since his nomination in 2012 he has participated in urgent missions in Syria, Mauritania, the Central African Republic and Ukraine. He has considerable experience in coordinating emergency responses to natural disasters, such as the 2005 tsunami in Indonesia and the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.
