Laura Doward started her career at the Sheffield Star, a local newspaper in the North of England. She moved to the Guardian, working in various commercial and strategic roles and helped launch Guardian Witness, the Guardian's user-generated content tool. After 12 years, Laura moved on to Google, where she works in the Publishers Marketing team in London. She is particularly interested in helping news organisations adapt to technological change and initiatives that aim to help equip people with critical media literacy skills online.
