As Newspack’s Head of Growth Initiatives, Kim Bode leads the platform’s global growth strategy and oversees the Revenue Development Program, working with publishers to drive audience engagement and sustainable revenue.
Her work spans product, audience, and editorial strategy across media organizations of different sizes and contexts. Previously, Kim led off-platform products such as newsletters and podcasts at the Los Angeles Times and directed audience and news product teams at Devex. As a consultant and coach, she has worked with organizations including the Media Development Investment Fund, Deutsche Welle Akademie, Human Rights Watch, Radio Free Europe, and the BBC.
Originally from Berlin, Kim began her journalism career reporting for outlets such as Reuters, Der Spiegel, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Financial Times Deutschland, NZZ, and Die Zeit.
