Isik Mater
Isik Mater is president of the Alternative Informatics Association and Research Director at media freedom watchdog Turkey Blocks. She is a digital activist and commentator on internet censorship, cyber-security and information warfare. Isik contributes to Turkish press agency Bianet and has presented digital security workshops for at-risk groups of journalists in coordination with organisations including Freedom House, IPI and Columbia Global Centers, the LGBT community and women’s support networks in Turkey.
