Isidoor Roebers combines his passion for entrepreneurship with his love for film. During his second year of the Film Academy in 2012 he started his first production company Fonk Film. After graduating, his second production company Scenery followed end of 2016, which he leads with his business partner Lea Fels.
Recent projects Isidoor produced includes the six-part Netflix Original documentary series Human Playground, the first co-production between Netflix and Youku, executive produced and narrated by Golden Globe-winner Idris Elba; Apple TV+’s HOME season 2 produced for A24 Films; and the adventure series The Mysteries Of Ancient Egypt with football legend Ruud Gullit for Amazon Prime Video.
Upcoming productions are Viaplay’s three-part docuseries Max Verstappen: Off The Beaten Track which gives an intimate look at the life of the three-time Formula 1 World Champion beyond the racetrack; the feature-length documentary Front Row executive produced by two-time Emmy-winner Sarah Jessica Parker, about the resilience of Ukrainian ballet dancers in wartime; Lara a feature-length documentary, directed by Bafta-winner Mags Gavan, featuring the unlikely friendship between Pablo Escobar’s son and the son of the assassinated Minister of Justice Rodrigo Lara; and the biographical documentary Like Tears In Rain about cult-actor Rutger Hauer featuring Micky Rourke, Whoopi Goldberg and Robert Rodriguez.
