Gurmehar Kaur

Gurmehar Kaur is the author of Small Acts of Freedom, a deeply personal family history published by Penguin Random House India in 2018. She is a social activist, co-founder of Citizens for Public Leadership - a nonpartisan movement focused on advocating for progressive public policy in India - and an ambassador of Postcards for Peace, a non-profit charitable organisation.

She graduated in Literature and Politics from Lady Shri Ram college for women and is currently pursuing her masters at Oxford University as a Oxford-WHT scholar. Her second book The Young and the Restless: Youth and Politics in India was published by Penguin in 2019.
