Gordon Fairclough is the World Coverage Chief for The Wall Street Journal. He directs all of the newspaper's coverage from outside the United States, drawing on his extensive experience in foreign postings. He has most recently been the Politics and Economy Editor for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Earlier, he was The Wall Street Journal’s South Asia bureau chief. He was part of The Journal's team of reporters in China who won the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting. He has also been based in Prague, South Korea, Japan, Bangkok and New York.
Gordon is a graduate of Yale University and the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C.
