Giuliano Turone, a former judge of the Italian Supreme Court and former professor at the Catholic University of Milan, was the investigating judge who, before investigating Michele Sindona and the P2, arrived at Luciano Liggio. He resigned almost ten years before his natural retirement age from the judiciary, denouncing "a situation that effectively prevents the Supreme Court from working seriously."
