Francesco Paolo Micozzi

Francesco Paolo Micozzi is a Lawyer and Professor of Legal Informatics at the Department of Law of the University of Perugia, where he is also lecturer of "Cybercrime and Digital Forensics" in the master’s degree in Data Protection, Cybercrime and Digital Forensics. His fields of expertise are new technologies and digital rights, digital activism, computing crime, open source and digital investigations. He leads the Jean Monnet module "Cybersecurity Issues and Breaches in European Rules: a practical approach" (CIBER), and is member of the Academic Staff of the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence "Building the Age of a Lawful and sustainable Data-Use" (BALDUS) at the University of Perugia. Author of several publications on IT criminal law, data protection and copyright. Data protection officer. Fellow of the Hermes Center for Transparency and Digital Human Rights. He is member of the working group of the Italian Foundation for Legal Innovation (FIIF) at the National Forensic Council and a member of the Privacy Commission of the CNF. He is a member of the “Surveillance” working group for the CNF in Brussels at the CCBE (Conseil des Barreaux Européens).
