Fatima Haidari was born in a small village in the Ghowr province of Afghanistan. Her childhood was spent as a shepherd while attending basic school. Later, her family relocated to Herat city. For three years, she stayed home crafting handicrafts to fund her education. Eventually, she started school, delving into the study of English, which she continued until completing her schooling. Together with 10 friends, she established an organization focused on women's empowerment.
Fatima pursued higher education in Journalism and Mass Communication at the university. During this time, she also hosted a radio program titled "Winner Women" on a local radio station dedicated to women's issues. In January 2020, she ventured into guiding tours and gained recognition as Afghanistan's first female tour guide.
Since her story was published on some Media outlets like CNN, it made her a target for extremists. She was forced to leave Afghanistan on August 21 and arrived in Italy August 24 2021, thanks to the help of some travelers. Now she lives in Milan and studies International politics and government at Bocconi University .
