Enrico Mentana is the award-winning director of La7 News. In 2018 he founded the news website Open. He was the director of Channel 5 News, the flagship daily news programme of the Mediaset group, from 1991 to 2004. He is the author of Passionaccia (2009) and co-author with Liliana Segre of La Memoria Rende Liberi: La Vita Interrotta di una Bambina nella Shoah (2015).
