Edu Ponces is a founding member of the RUIDO Photo agency. He has been working in the Central American region for more than 6 years, primarily on two topics: migration and violence. He was for 2 years head of photography of Elfaro.net of El Salvador, and his work has been published by The Miami Herald (US), El País and El Mundo (Spain), Proceso and Gatopardo (México) and CNN en Español (US). He is the author of the book En el camino published by the Editorial Blume. Edu has won several awards such as the Latin-American best photography book of 2010, National Journalism and Human Rights award of El Salvador, REVELA International award, finalist at Gabriel García Márquez award of Journalism, among others.
