Davide Ghiglione was born in Genova, Italy. He has an undergraduate degree from the University of Genova which included a year studying at the University of Glasgow. He moved to Rome in 2011 to specialise in journalism at LUISS Guido Carli. He worked in London for the Associated Press as a video producer and reporter. He worked on the international desk and the Latin America desk before moving on to the UK bureau, where he mainly covered Brexit. In May 2016 he joined the Rome bureau of The Financial Times, where he covers Italian politics and the migration crisis, and looks after multimedia production.
