Clair McHugh is the CEO of Axonista.
Axonista works with an illustrious list of global broadcasters and digital natives including QVC, Viacom and AOL to increase video audience engagement by making video interactive on smart devices and emerging digital platforms. From a sports broadcast background, Claire co-founded Axonista in 2010 with Daragh Ward and, over the last six years, their award winning team has been working to realise a vision where all video is intuitively interactive.
Claire is a digital and future TV enthusiast and is a frequent speaker at global industry events about the future of television, including the TV of Tomorrow show in San Francisco and New York, the Future of Broadcasting in London, and Mediacon Dublin.
Claire is passionate about giving back to the global startup community. She is a mentor for Startup Next Ireland, a Techstars program and the #1 startup pre-acceleration program in the world. She’s honoured to be the Irish ambassador for the Silicon Valley Blackbox Connect accelerator and she is on the advisory board of the Irish Digital Youth Council.
